Our Mission
To facilitate the voluntary adoption of healthy and nutritious behaviors conducive to the health and well being of limited
resource families and individuals in West Virginia.
Our Vision
The West Virginia Family Nutrition Program (FNP) is a community based nutrition education program that encourages limited
resource consumers to choose and prepare healthy, safe, and affordable foods. FNP employs Nutrition Outreach Instructors (paraprofessionals)
to deliver experiential, research based lessons in nutrition and physical activity. County Extension Agents provide leadership
and supervision for the instructors.
